ISC Webinar: Random sub-domain resolver DDOS mitigation
The past year has seen a resurgence in a brute force DDOS against DNS systems, featuring volumes of queries for pseudo-random, but non-existent, domains.
This talk, by Cathy Almond, Senior Support Engineer, and Eddy Winstead, Senior Sales Engineer, explains how ‘fetches per zone’ and ‘fetches per server’ work and how you can use them to reduce the impact of these continuing DDOS attacks on your resolvers and their users.
The new features are available now from ISCs public source repository, and will be released in the upcoming BIND 9.10.3 maintenance release.
