Now compare what you can do with the ISC DHCP server, and what you can’t do with a Windows server - not to mention that the Windows server is NOT RFC compliant and relies on client behaviour (which is why the Windows client is such a PITA at times) to work properly. Even though I’ve never got into anything complicated, I’ve hit cases where the Windows admin responds to what I think is a simple request with “I can’t see how to do that” - ditto with DNS vs BIND.
Oh yes, does Windows allow you to edit a range yet - I know it didn’t during the 2+ decades I spent at my previous jobs.
