DHCPv6 lease validation issue on server down

Hi,
I am working with isc dhcp from several months for running dhcpv6 into my
LAN.
Scenario: Clients are leased with ipv6 address for 30 days lease time, but
if my dhcpv6 server is down, on next reboot clients removes the ipv6 address
from its stack if it doesn't get reply from server for dhcpv6 confirm
packet. Then what's the point of giving the lease of 30 days.
But this is not the case for ipv4 dhcp.
