If I remember correctly, domain-search wasn't added until ISC-DHCP v4.x.
I'm not aware of any workaround.

Subject: dhcp client not getting full domain search list.
Hi.
I have a number of Linux machines on the network. The CentOS 6 and Ubuntu 12 machine receive the full list of search domains where as the CentOS 5 machines only receive the first domain in the list. I have a vauge memory that this could be a limitation of installed version of dhclient (3.0.5) in CentOS 5.
Is it a limitation ?
Is there a work around for this that can be implemented from the server side ?
Thanks
G
