min and max length of DUID

Hi,

While writing user input validation for an IPAM tool, I wondered about
the minimum and maximum length of a DUID. RFC 3315 says that the
maximum is 128 bytes. Wikipedia says that the minimum is 12 bytes and
the maximum is 20 bytes. I'm not sure where the author of the
wikipedia article got those values.
I tried a syntax check on dhcpd 4.1 and it didn't seem to care about the length.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

cv
