You mean local network and remote network - you need to be precise 
with terminology because subnet means something very different.

But assuming that is what you mean, it actually makes no difference 
to the problems. Local or remote, if you have two independent DHCP 
servers with the same dynamic range then you will get problems sooner 
or later.
The only practical difference made by moving one of them to the other 
side of a router is that the extra time delay will, most of the time, 
mean that clients will favour the local server. It won't resolve any 
conflicts.
