	"Just as easily" -- I wonder.

	We can register MAC addresses before applying power to the
	machine and installing enough of an operating system to read
	the interface firmware.  With a well-behaved supplier, we
	can even read the MAC address from a bar-coded label on the
	carton before opening it.
