DHCP Server Configuration Problem

And I think all these configuration are in dhcpd.conf. So that, why do i have to work with dhcp3-server?

I have found dhcp-client or dhcp-common (even they are not in /etc/default), but there is no dhcp-server.

You wrote that you are running an Ubuntu, and I'm assuming that you have 
installed their default dhcp3-server package by now.

Then you need to look at the file "/etc/default/dhcp3-server", where you 
need to specify which interface the server should listen to. Most often, 
that should be "eth0", but check with the command "/sbin/ifconfig" to 
see which interfaces are available on your system.
