Jeff,
        One thing I would check is that there are no errors with the 
packets.  I have seen instances where the checksum was wrong and Windows 
clients were not getting addresses.  My situation was a bit different but 
you might want to check that.

Okay, sorry for the conversational tone- but this is indeed what I¹m 
seeing
from the RS/6000- responses sent to 192.168.0.255.

How do I get the DHCP server to reply to 255.255.255.255?
