use of dhcp3.0.6

Hi

Im having LINUX ES verion 4 system.

I downloaded source file dhcp-3.0.6.tar.gz from the isc site.

How can I make dhcp3.0.6 work on my system , is it possible or not

Firstly I downloaded and copied the file to the root dir

Did tar then ./configure, nut Im unable make it
It says make 1 error all

Can you please help in the matter

Basically I want to use dhcp-3.0.6 on RedHat ES Version 4, How can I do
that
