We released 3.0.1 final on Jul 16 2004, and we don't version our
sources in that way (-54.EL4 has been added by your supplier).

I have no way to answer the questions you have asked.  If you want to
run sources we've released (you can get them from www.isc.org), you
can ask us about problems, if you run sources someone else distributes
with changes, I would like to respectfully ask that you take your
questions to them.
