i have to say it didn't work either. i downloaded it and
removed the ISC BIND service with srvinstw, reinstalled
BIND 9, and it made no differences. in fact i had checked
the registry file with that on the running machine, you
know searching for BIND or NAMED in the registry gives
lots of matches, it took me a long time to get them out
and compared, but no differences in the BIND-related
items had been found. i believe my service controller
has smth wrong with BIND service or named.exe missed
smth to do with the service controller, which led to
the initialization error before named.exe got to run.
