Hi Ondrej

This issue is becoming a ripple effect for us and on the path of becoming a blocker.
I agree with you that same question should not be asked on different channels.

Being seeing the gravity of the issue, the query may have been posted on different channels by different teams to get the quick resolution as soon as possible.

Continuing on mail thread “bind-users at lists.isc.org<mailto:bind-users at lists.isc.org>” we have asked for more info on top of your response.
We shall be more than happy if you look into the last thread and share more info on the scenario.

People,

just don’t do this: https://gitlab.isc.org/isc-projects/bind9/-/issues/2958<https://protect2.fireeye.com/v1/url?k=aa49000b-f5d2394f-aa494090-861d41abace8-239c25651ecc746d&q=1&e=672b241c-33fe-442a-855c-c5fe76875a6b&u=https%3A%2F%2Fgitlab.isc.org%2Fisc-projects%2Fbind9%2F-%2Fissues%2F2958>

If you don’t get answer you like via one channel asking the exactly question via different channel will not only get you the answer it also shows that you are disrespectful.
Generally, we are happy to help, but don’t shift your costs to us.

Ondrej

Hi Team,
Currently we are using Bind version 9.16.10,

My Query
I recently found that there is an issue with the 9.16.10 version. "Issue#2389 BIND 9.16.10: critical: xfrout.c:1643: INSIST(xfr->sends == 0) failed".
Can anyone please help me to understand the scenario when this issue will appear?

Note: We are not planning an BIND upgrade currently. This will help me to skip scenarios which may lead to the above issue.

Thanks in advance.
