Default query type of dig

Hi all,

By default dig has a query type of A-records. Because I more and more 
work with IPv6 I would like to change the default behaver of dig to a 
query type of AAAA-records. Can this easily be done (I did not find a 
switch for .digrc nor another option) or is there a source code change 
needed?
