weird perfmonce BIND version 9.6

so i did the dig host2.mydomain.com and this is the result:

too many times I´ve got advices about to dns testing using dig command, 
but I´m still using ping to check what ip address is answering to me. In 
this case i´m testing host2.mydomain.com  and i´m getting the private ip 
address. I´m wondering how to fix this issue.
