s/site/name/ -- DNS deals in names.

Of course it is available, because that is exactly what DNS does: 
answer queries, return results as found. (Found either in zones or 
through recursion.)

It's hard to guess what you are not understanding. Perhaps you can 
elaborate on what you want to do and why?
