Hi

If your just want to know if that zone is still being used, no matter which record, you could simply tell named to keep statistics of that zone.

If you want to know about specific records... well, you can always log everything and let a custom script filter the interesting lines.
But be careful when doing so, because logging needs cpu time and harddisk space. And running out of either is not preferable.

I would like to switch on query logging for specific views only.  Is
this possible using BIND 9.7 (or any other BIND version, for that
matter)?

The "querylog" option does not seem to apply to views, and it does not
appear to be possible to filter based on view in the "logging" phrase.
