/path/named -V will (in my versions) give you a lot of useful 
information.  No idea about CentOS precompiles, but can't hurt to try.

# named -V
BIND 9.7.1 built with '--enable-threads' '--with-openssl' 
'--enable-ipv6' '--disable-shared' '--enable-atomic' 'CFLAGS=-O2 
-march=native' 'CXXFLAGS=-O2 -march=native'
