either those servers suck (well, they admins probably) or there is different
problem.

mail servers often do reverse lookup on connectinng IP, and validate if the
resulting record points to the same IP. They should not check whether it is
in the same domain as you are trying to send mail from.

the error message could help, however it's off-topic in this list I think.
