If I understand the output correctly, it would appear that DNS server us using all 50,000 clients of 50,000
Would tweaking the following options in named.conf help to throttle some of the queries?
        clients-per-query 10 ;
        max-clients-per-query 20 ;

TIA

Hi~~, All
I am seeing the same situation with 9.5.1b1. I am running it on a
SunOS 5.9 ,Sun-Fire-480R.
I get named socket: too many open file descriptors on /var/adm/
messages. And execute "rndc stats", result include "recursive clients:
50000/49900/50000".
The number of recursive clients is too many.

enn..., the default limit of open files has been increased to 4096 ,
but it's no use.
