performance issues with 9.5.0-P1

What hardware/software platform?  I'm quite surprised to see that high a
load on that small a number of queries.

We do know that -P1 is a pig.  It's going to run your CPU harder than
the previous versions, but a lot of that is being recovered in the
current betas -- are you able to test them?
