first hit may be of use.

with regards to replication why not just use BIND to transfer the
necessary files rather than using mysql. I may be wrong but using
mysql for replication of zone files would lead to you using a
master-master configuration for BIND rather than a master-slave
config. Seems to be reinventing the wheel somewhat.
