Delegating nested subdomains

Thank you for your answer. Does this also apply all record types? I.e. is it
still possible to assign records for a delegated subdomain, e.g.
zone for "example.com":

foo.example.com IN NS ns.alpha.tld.
bar.foo.example.com IN A 1.2.3.4
mail.bar.foo.example.com IN MX 2.3.4.5
