Are you going to tell b.root-servers.net?

$ dig +noall +answer txt chaos version.bind @b.root-servers.net
VERSION.BIND.           0       CH      TXT     "8.4.1-REL"

(OK, sometimes it says 9.3.2 instead, but at least some of the 
anycast endpoints are apparently still running BIND 8 ...)
