newbie need help to confrigure own DNS

Called what?

Please do not use "root server" which is very confusing when it comes
to DNS (the "root servers" are the 13 machines that serve the root
zone). Just say "my server".

You must learn DNS and BIND. The paper reference is Liu & Albitz "DNS
