It's pretty pointless to refer to the "kernel jumbo patch" without
saying which patch sequence you are talking about. Solaris 8, in
particular has had three (so far) kernel patch series:

   108528  up to -29
   117000  up to -05
   117350  up to -34 (to date)

That's what "patch rejuvenation" does for you...

In any case, the OP told you which kernel patch level he was at:

>> SunOS dns 5.8 Generic_108528-27 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-V210
>> 2cpu

108528-27 is certainly pretty ancient (over 2 years).
