BIND 9, use of underscore with _domainkeys

Is there any reason why BIND 9 would have a problem with the following
request to my DNS provider?
The provider will not implement the request based on RFC 921 (underscore
is non-compliant). Is there a way for BIND 9.3.1 to ignore the
underscore with the check-names options?

Please create the foo-dk._domainkey.foo.org zone on ns1.foo.edu and
ns2.foo.edu.

Use the following values for the SOA record:

         900       ; refresh

         600       ; retry

         86400     ; expire

         3600      ; default_ttl

Add a TXT record to this domain with a value of the string shown below
(copy ALL of it):

k=rsa;p=MIGfMA0GCSqGSIb3DQEBAQUAA4GNADCBiQKBgQDbqsE0mEzPivWx5poKSSF6tUWX
N6gcga2gSdEw7gW0eD+4G8ipZL5+tfz
