rsh taking time when dns is running

Hi,
My server has an internal ip address and has no fqdn.Also if i configure 
dns not to listen on 127.0.0.1,the rsh is fast.Even I think
the server side does dns-lookups.Any suggestions,does rsh has some 
option to to disable dns-lookups...
