lwres interaction with round-robin

I am using round-robin at a site to manage NFS connections to a group of servers. We are running bind 9.2.1 and 9.2.0 on the DNS servers. On the servers we have found that the client will stop randomizing the round-robin addresses if there are more than 32 addresses. So we reduced the number of hosts to 32 and it works for the servers. For the desktop systems we are using an nss_lwres library that talks to the lwres service listening on the DNS servers. The problem now is that the desktop clients are always getting the same address for the round-robin records we set up. I have tested one of the desktop systems again bind version 9.3.2, and it still doesn't resolve the issue, although it fixes the 32 address problem I mentioned above.

So my question is do round-robin addresses work with lwres? If so how do I configure the name server to serve out a random address to lwres clients?

I'm also curious if anyone else is using lwres, and will it be getting more features and support in future versions of bind?

thanks,
-Alex
