I dont know your operating system, but on my linux 2.4 it was

/etc/modules.conf

...
# IPv6
#

# alias sit0 ipv6
# alias sit1 ipv6
# alias tun6to4 ipv6
...

Now without recompiling bind complains

named_start("Aug-13","14:06:42","BIND 9.4.0b1").
named_complained("no IPv6 interfaces found","Aug-13","14:06:43").

I had to reboot my linux of course :)

This got me rid of some problems, some of them even with bind.

Kind regards
Peter and Karin
