any API to add zones in named.conf and create zones?

Hello everybody,

is there any API available in 'libbind' to create zones and add new
zones description (for example in named.conf) ?

I've been searching through the library, but possibly missed something?
Are there any more convenient ways to make what I want rather then
using functions like 'sprintf()', 'fopen()' etc. ?
