bind 8.4.6 question

I recently upgraded to bind 8.4.6 on Solaris 9 and am now seeing a
intermittant crash.   

Just before the crash the log indicates:

named[11459]: [ID 295310 daemon.crit] ns_main.c:597: INSIST(errno ==
EINTR): Invalid argument failed.

Another message which is new, may be related is:

named[1798]: [ID 547062 daemon.error] gettimeofday: tv_usec out of range

which implies gettimeofday has some issues on this particular machine
perhaps....

I wouldn't be surprised if it's a carefully crafted request causing the
issue but maybe it's something else.

Has anyone run into this problem?  If so, what did you end up doing?
Could gcc be the issue?
