What is the difference??!!

Hello,

I have a question ...
If I have www.example.com with IP 1.2.3.4 and I want to redirect all the
quires for web.example.com to www.example.com ..what is the correct way to
do this..
 Create a CNAME   as :
Web.example.com.	IN	CNAME	www.example.com.

OR

 Create a A resource record as:
Web.example.com.	IN	A	1.2.3.4
