Migrating from W2K DNS to Bind

Which DNS server(s) do your clients use for DNS resolution?  If they
are using the W2k server as their preferred DNS server and do not have
a second DNS server comfigured in their TCP/IP, then any downtime on
the W2k DNS server is bad.

You can convert your BIND slave to the master via a change to the
BIND configuration file.  After the BIND box is the master, then you can
take the W2k box offine to DNS and install BIND on it.
