Greetings,
it took a while to work out the solution to my previous question, but thanks
to Kevin I have managed to solve my puzzle.
My initial problem was how to set the SOA serial by use of nsupdate.
The way:
nsupdate -d
server <server-ip>
zone dom.ain.
update add dom.ain. TTL SOA server.dom.ain. admin.dom.ain. SERIAL REFRESH
RETRY EXPIRE MINIMUM
send
that's it.
Calculating the serial (with respect to serial number arithmetic) is easy for
my case. Anybody who's interessted in the scripts shall yell by email.
Thanks again folks!
Greetings,
Florian
