Need help with named

Notice the IP address in the SERVER line above.  Is that the name server 
on which you have loaded the test.linx zone?  If yes, perhaps you can send 
the output of your logs when named starts.  If no, then use the following 
format of the dig command to make sure you are sending your query to the 
right name server:

dig soa test.linux @<ip of name server>

Also, I added the soa part so that you get the soa RR for test.linux, as 
the zone db file below does not show an A RR for test.linux (default query 
type for dig is "A").
