BIND only resolves hostname on the second attempt

Can you elaborate on this?  AAAA records are only for IPv6, right?  So 
maybe if I disable IPv6 support on my DNS server, the problem might go 
away?

Can you also verify that the root servers *did* start sending out AAAA 
records a few days ago, whereas they had *not* before?

This problem is affecting a large number of Mac users recently, and as 
of yet, no one has any clue as to why it's happening.  If someone here 
is able to help figure it out, legions of Mac users would be grateful 
to you.
