Bind starts and suddenly stops immediately aftewards.

I ran across a very strange issue today after updating the server and 
control Panel IP information.  After I updated everything and everything 
seemed to be working fine, I noticed that BIND/named service was not 
started.  I first tried to start the BIND/named servce inside of DA. 
Unfortunately it never even showed it had started there no matter what I 
clicked/pressed on.  Then I decided to goto the command line level and 
issued the following commands to no avail:  services named 
start/restart/stop  along with /usr/sbin/named -u named  The service 
appearantly starts for a micro second before shutting itself down.  I 
checked the /var/log/messages area only to see the following:

Oct 26 12:53:16 stargatesg1 named: named startup succeeded
Oct 26 12:54:01 stargatesg1 named[24101]: starting BIND 9.2.1 -u named
Oct 26 12:54:01 stargatesg1 named[24101]: using 1 CPU
Oct 26 12:54:01 stargatesg1 named: named startup succeeded
Oct 26 12:54:14 stargatesg1 named: named shutdown failed
Oct 26 12:54:16 stargatesg1 named[24131]: starting BIND 9.2.1 -u named
Oct 26 12:54:16 stargatesg1 named[24131]: using 1 CPU
Oct 26 12:54:16 stargatesg1 named: named startup succeeded

What is strange is that there is no major error/quit messages.  So I'm not 
sure what is happening, but I do know Bind was working just fine before the 
ipswitch.sh updates and all.  Any ideas, or thoughts on how to proceed?
