GTLD Servers Report Different IP Address Than Zone Files

It's been some time since we had a similar problem.  We asked Network 
Solutions to remove the glue record and they refused to do so, pointing 
out that they couldn't because some domains were depending on it.

As I recall, they did remove it for us after we sent them a faxed letter 
of authorization explaining that no one was using it with our 
authorization, and that in fact if anyone was using it, it was without 
our knowledge or consent.

Prior to that, however, they were willing to let us change it to resolve 
to another IP#.  In our case that was helpful, but we still pressed to 
have the record removed.

Perhaps the original poster could force the issue as we did.
