CNAME question

Hi all,

I have bind working except for a minor problem with "CNAME"...
I have defined an alias for a server using CNAME, it seems to be
working except that when I "ping" the alias name, the response doesnt
come from the alias itself.
i.e. normally when I ping a server (for example, ping
smtp8.google.com)

C:\Documents and Settings\xal>ping smtp8.google.com

Pinging smtp8.google.com [216.239.33.28] with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 216.239.33.28: bytes=32 time=208ms TTL=242
Reply from 216.239.33.28: bytes=32 time=205ms TTL=242
Reply from 216.239.33.28: bytes=32 time=203ms TTL=242

the reply shows smtp8.google.com, in my case

C:\Documents and Settings\xal>ping smtp.azcom.net

Pinging azcom.net[202.172.3.56] with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 202.172.3.56: bytes=32 time=208ms TTL=242
Reply from 202.172.3.56: bytes=32 time=205ms TTL=242
Reply from 202.172.3.56: bytes=32 time=203ms TTL=242

How could I make the reply come from "smtp.azcom.net" instead of
"azcom.net?"
