Queries are "lost" ??

If it's onlöy running named it might be a little high ..

Ok, adding another local nameserver might be good (not only for
this problem but for lots of schenarios)


What netstat -m and per-protocol statistics netstat -s 
looks like ? Interface errors (netstat -I ) and what 
does your networking gear has to say about errors/drops
for the nameserver and sambaserver ?
