Hmm

layer 0 has 13.
TLD - layer 1 have just over 5 per domain on average (but only
~2.8 when you take into account servers serving multiple top
level domains....).

My guess is the average per domain is going to be closer to two,
but probably domains with more servers get more look-ups -
Yahoo, Microsoft, AOL etc, so the average per query may be
higher than the average per domain. Especially since a lame
server may get you a referral to root.

Presumably the average per query, or distribution between
queries, is what you want?

Maybe it is just easier to snapshot all of HP, and optimise the
world for running HP ? Rather than worrying about the sins of
the multitude.
