It's my mail, well a fair proportion of the mail lost or abused
this way is destined for me.

Agreed, but I've already notified the relevant admins, who seem
totally unconcerned (or unconvinced perhaps) that their mail
servers are bust.

Hmm - it will be a pain to configured, but I can redirect the
servers in question to an SMTP bounce program, and set a
relatively caustic reason for the bounce.
