Bind 9.2.2rc1 stops responding for some domian...

Could this be because of the stacksize = limitations...When I do "ulimit -a"
I see that stack is 8192 = (default for Solaris)

Very hard to say without knowing what domains are a = problem. 

The most common reason for problems with BIND 9 and = "some" 
domains is the delegation for those domains are = broken. 
Typically the zones own definition of it's own name = servers is 
broken. 

BIND 9 "trusts" the zone definition to be = accurate, BIND 8 will 
restart queries and so get the delegation = information from the 
parent servers. 

If it were resource related I'd expect it to affect = all domains 
- but you can never tell for sure.

I've been running 9.2.2rc1 for a small system for = ages and seen 
nothing untoward, although I prefer to deploy full = releases 
unless there is a pressing bug fix. 

I think you should start with checking out the zone = delegations 
- post the problem zones here if you are = unsure.
