Advice on Bind 8

I am trying to set up bind 8 on a private network to resolve names on that
network only.  I have looked at various configs on the Internet but they
are all somewhat different and none of them work.  I ma trying to setup
bind on a Sun server.  I cant seem to get any good info on the cache file
for a private network or how to set up the named.conf file.  Any advise
will be appreciated.
