DNS/BIND Port

I currently have a network set-up behind a Linksys router/firewall. I
am also setting up a DNS/Name Server running RedHat Linux and BIND 9.
In order for incoming requests to come in to the server, I need to
enable port forwarding, which I am already framiliar with. My question
is simple: Does BIND use Port 53 for incoming requests? Once I have
the port number, everything should be fine. Thanks in advance for the
help!
