Are you running a DNS server on the DC whose IP address is changing?
If so, is that DNS running BIND or MS W2k DNS?

If the DC's address changes, then you have to change the "A" record
for the domain.  If you put the "A" record in by hand, then you will
have to change it.  If DDNS put the "A" record into DNS, then you need
to check to see if DDNS changes that record (or deletes that record and
adds a new "A" record).
