Update: Can't compile BIND 8.3.1 under Solaris 8

Look at the paths. You're using gcc along with /usr/ccs/bin/as - I
believe those two have different assembler syntaxes. That would
explain your problem.

Set the AS environment variable to wherever you have GNU as and
recompile. Also be careful about the linker (LD).
