Missing "named.conf" file in BIND9.2 Install

I am running Linux 7.1, and recently installed Bind-9.2.0 from source
that I pulled down from an FTP site at www.isc.org.

I put the tar file in /usr/local/src and went through the default
install

./configure
make
make install

The install went through without error, however, the "named.conf" file
did not appear in the default location "/etc". I also looked in
"/var/named" and there are zero files there. I did a file search for
"named.conf" and found it in the "/usr/local/src/bind-9.2.0/bin/test/"
directory.

According to documentation, that file is supposed to be placed in
either "/etc" or "/var/named" by default. Is there anyway to create
it and just place it where it needs to go? If so, what config must be
done to make it work?

Please advise how to fix
