It does not matter which name server you promote to a master.  Remember,
master or slave does not imply authority, it only determines how the
zone was loaded on the server:  

Master = loaded from local file system
Slave = loaded via zone transfer

Also, look at you SOA record expire value, as it determines how long a
slave will continue to answer up for a particular zone.
